I was in a panic last spring when my British husband got stuck at a Canadian airport because his ESTA number had expired!
He called me and told me he’s been refused to get on the flight with my 3 children!
I talked to Therese and she calmly advised me what to do. Needless to say he got on his flight and we got to reunite and have our family vacation!
Therese is not only knowledgeable with traveling, she’s also sweet, kind, approachable and calm!
I’ve connected with Therese in 3 countries and no matter where she is, she is very knowledgeable of the areas and listens to what we wanted also!
Therese is the real deal and can offer anyone the best experiences when traveling!
What an incredible experience! I had been to the Loire Valley before and wasn’t too sure what to expect from this retreat.
Once you see a castle you can scratch it off your list and move on to something new was what I thought and I figured that I would get to see a few new things and practice my french.
I quickly realised that I was being introduced to tastes and experiences I would have never had as a tourist.
On a tour of the castle Chenonceaux, Therese asked we do the tour backwards as she felt it ended in a depressing way. Sure enough we started with a room that held a grieving widow for nearly a decade and ended with the incredible kitchens and knowledge of different festivals, creations and parties. We left the castle smiling and excited while the others leaving the castle seemed to have their heads downcast and sad at the thought of a poor widow that never left her black room.
Therese also took us for some wine tasting and due to her relationship with the owner we were able to walk through the cellars (troglodyte, something I didn’t even know existed) and discover how they were created, see the entire process for wine and champagne and enjoy a tasting with little regional treats prepared by his wife.
The schedule, accommodations and meals all showed such an attention to detail, it was like being part of her family and not a client.
From the castles, art and scenery to the Michelin restaurant and even a home cooked meal using a neighbours fresh goose eggs, everything was total perfection!
I’m looking forward to my next retreat.
